Double filament Double Contact

What does BAX15d mean?  See photos for the size of the bulb this is not quite as large as a usual headlight bulb.  the two pins on the cap are equal level, one is very slightly longer than the other, I have tried this in a vintage bulb holder and it still fits perfectly.
